Any
of the parent movie reviews websites below have at least one
movie review by a parent or a list of movies with reviews to
better inform parents before they take their children to see the
movies.
On Thursday,
July 21, 2005, as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,
Jennifer Connelly was promoting her new movie, Dark Water.
During the conversation, she revealed her fear for
elevators which she had since overcome. She explains her fear may have been derived from the movie, Dressed
To Kill, where the male killer gets out of an elevator, is
holding a knife and is disguised as a woman wearing a blond wig. Connelly says she may have only been four years old when she
saw the movie.
This memory
by Connelly made me wonder as a parent, what pictures my
children see in the movies I have let them watch that may grow
into “fears.” This
is something every parent wonders about.
Hopefully the websites and their reviews below will
provide some information in helping you decide what movies your
children will watch.
