Tom Welling bio starting from his acting career:

Acting Career: Welling left New York and modeling for Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He got a role to play three episodes as Karate Bob, the love interest for Amy Brenneman on Judging Amy. Because he did well in these few episodes, his role was extended for another three, for a total of six episodes.

Next, he landed his Clark Kent role for WB’s Smallville. The success of this show gained him recognition as one of the new stars in 2001 by People magazine. He also won a Teen Choice Award the same year.

In July 2002, at Martha’s Vineyard, he married his girlfriend of three years, Jamie White, whom he met while they were both modeling. Welling divides his time between Los Angeles where he lives with his wife and Vancouver where Smallville is filmed.

He made his big screen debut in Cheaper By The Dozen (2003) where he plays the eldest cap-wearing-country-boy son, Charlie Baker.
