Acting
classes in Connecticut probably cater to actors who plan on
working in New York where there are opportunities for stage work
or TV such as in daily soaps.
Considering how long motion
pictures have been around and how even longer stage has been
around, it would be interesting to document how many actors
actually had "formal" training.
Some of the great ones did and
some didn't, and those who didn't probably learned by
"doing along the way."
Just thinking about this would
bring about many opinions. If nothing else, acting classes
possibly can help the students determine if acting is for them.
